MUMBAI.Shane Warne had better hear this. His favourite of the IPL I Dinesh Salunkhe is doing well in Mumbai in the silly season.
So well that he Warne should call him back and use him. Especially, now that he himself is ruled out with a hamstring injury for ten days.
The day after he landed back from SA after being sent back along Kaif and Co, Salunkhe played a single wicket tournament in memory of India's finest batsman against pace and spin Vijay Manjrekar and won the title.
Next day he turned up for Payyade Sports Club in the suburban final which they won.
On Saturday he again played for Payyade and claimed a hat-trick with his leggies.
Among his victims was Tendulkar pal, Atul Ranade and Mumbai Indians reject Jude Singh. With spin being the spice of the IPl 2, one thinks Salunkhe is worth a try especially as he can improvise plays the scoop shot from the word go (which shows great eyesight) and can send the ball long distances.
And he is making an effort to field well.
